A series of illustrations made for the book ‘Give a Type a Face’ by Elena Gonzalez, in which various artists gave their interpretations of what a certain typeface would look like if it were a person. My font was Imprint MT Shadow.
Designed as a text face for a magazine of the same name in1912, Imprint is an elegant and functional serif typeface that works well in large blocks of text. Imprint MT Shadow, on the other hand, is more like Imprint’s ‘little sister’ – it has an inner streak which gives the letters a decorative and ‘playful’ character.
→ Exhibited at Belgrade Design Week, 2012.
→ Featured on Illustration Served.
→ 10,000 copies printed as part of the AvantCard Artist Project.
